Capital Equipment Assistance Program

Vermont Agriculture, Food and Market Agency Applications are now open for the Capital Equipment Assistance Program (CEAP). The Vermont Agriculture, Food and Markets Agency’s Water Quality Division has funding for new or innovative equipment.

The funding is for equipment that will help reduce agricultural runoff, improve water quality, reduce odors from compost use, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and more!

Vermont grower is required to comply with Required agricultural practicesCustoms operators, non-profit organizations and phosphorous extraction equipment producers are welcome to apply.

Examples of qualified equipment include conservation tillage equipment, zero-till grain augers, rotary creasing machine, precision farming equipment, and more.

Generally, the program will cover 90% of the equipment cost with variable limits depending on the type of equipment. Applicants are restricted to one application per individual operation/organization/entity.

WLEI Business Promotion Scholarships

Agricultural, food and forestry companies can now apply for Business Enhancement Grants for the Working Land Project Initiative!

The Business Lands Foundation Board is issuing an application for applications totaling $450,000 that will allow Vermont agricultural, food, and forestry businesses to invest in business-enhancing initiatives, such as market, infrastructure, and workforce development.

Business Enhancement Grant amounts range from $20,000 to $35,000. The Business Enhancement Scholarship was formerly known as the Standard Business Scholarship.
