Asahi Kasei and its subsidiary Senseair are developing a impaired driving detection sensor that can quickly detect and calculate a blood alcohol level from a driver’s breath. Senseair has also developed CO2 A sensor that monitors cabin air quality to recirculate air, improving EV efficiency and extending driving range. Moreover, AKM can provide millimeter wave radar to detect if children or animals are in the vehicle and active road noise cancellation to enhance cabin comfort. Asahi Kasei is also developing a seat-mounted sensor that can monitor your heart rate and breathing.
