Custody of his daughter, 12-year-old Truly, seemed to be a major concern in Cody Brown’s mind as he discussed the next steps in his separation from his third wife, Kristen Brown, in Sunday’s episode of “Sister Wives” on TLC.
“I’m disgusted by the idea that she’s going and she’s going to take a trolley and move to Utah,” he said in a one-on-one interview about Kristen’s plans. “He really is my child.”
Cody went on to say he’s interested in maintaining a good relationship with Kristen so she doesn’t make any “crazy” decisions. He added that he has done “research” and knows that “men do not win in the world of divorce.”
Kristen and Cody announced break up in november After about 27 years of spiritual marriage. They share six biological children together: son Bedon, 24, daughters Aspen, 27, Mykelti, 26, Gwenden, 20, Isabelle, 19, and Truly.
During their conversation about Kristen’s next steps, Cody tried to convince Kristen that she was honestly moving away from the support system if she moved away from Flagstaff, Arizona, where the entire Brown family was, including Cody’s three other wives and the many children he shares. With them, he was living at the time of filming the episode.
Kristen had a very different idea of what her intended future would look like when she eventually moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, which Cody said was about eight hours away.
“What I’m looking for is a place that really wraps in the family,” Kristen told the cameras in a one-on-one interview. “I can take her to a better support system where she’s surrounded by love.”
A mother of six said that Trulli was not as aware of the fractures in her parents’ marriage as her older children. “I’d rather get her out of this situation before she says it,” Kristen added.
Cody seemed to believe that the society that Kristen longed to provide was only available to her because Kristen refused to comply with Strict COVID-19 rules He set it up so he could visit all of his wives’ families during the pandemic. In the 16th season of the show, fans saw that only his fourth wife, Robin, and his first wife, Mary, were abiding by Cody’s guidelines.
On the season premiere, Kristen explained to the cameras in a one-on-one interview why she thought Cody was so Not available for her and her children long before 2020 When the epidemic started.
“Let’s just say we’ve lived here for 800 days,” Kristen said, referring to Flagstaff, where the family has lived since 2018. Even in the water. This three times he went with us. Three times out of 800.”
During the initial conversation where Kristen assured Cody that she wanted to end their “spiritual” union, Cody told Kristen that he was afraid that if they broke up and moved to Utah with Truly, she would meet and marry a man who would then take his money and access to Truely. Kristen Cody promised that even though she was moving, his worst fears wouldn’t come true.
Cody currently has three wives, but he is only legally married to Robin. He legally divorced Meri in 2014 so he could marry Robin and adopt the three children she had from another marriage. He was not legally married to Kristen.
